A book written in 1878 regarding notable people from the Yorkshire Wolds.  Whilst the author makes no promises of the accuracy he does trust "that there are not any errors of sufficient magnitude to mar the usefulness of the work."

Written using sources such as those to be found at local libraries.  However the majority of the information came from the libraries of the British Museum and the Bodleian who had the funds to purchase, or were donated the documents required to create this history of Worthies some of whom are now long forgotten.

Scanned in Grey scale at 300dpi, then converted to PDF to allow the images to be magnified many times.  Therefore Adobe Reader version 6 or higher is required.  I can add the setup files to the CD before posting if you state your operating system type.
