Sussex Genealogies - Lewes Centre

John Comber

John Comber wrote three books on the Genealogies of Sussex each bearing the same name. Each centred on a different town within the county, these are, Lewes, Horsham and Ardingley.  This copy is a facsimile of the Lewes Centre.

The book comprises two indexes; the first at the start of the book lists each of the pedigree's in alphabetical order.  The second, at the rear of the book, lists everyone and all the places mentioned within the book.

Also in the book are the Addendum and Corrigenda for all three books suggesting this was the last to be published.  A fascinating read, not only for those with Sussex connections, but for everyone.

This book unfortunately due to all the abbreviations used is not searchable but the second of the two indexes is bookmarked so the reader can jump to the start and locate the pages the people or the places they are interested in.
