Kelly's directory minus the map.  This is a scanned copy of the 1912/13 directory of Portsmouth and its surrounding towns.  These include Portsea, Landport, Southsea, Gosport &c.  Contained within the book is a description of each place with the usual dignitaries listed.  There is also an alphabetical street directory, which is useful if you know where your ancestors lived and want to check they are still there.  Also, an alphabetical name directory of everyone who agreed to be in the book.  Also an Alphabetical list of trades people and an alphabetical list of commercial addresses and their proprietors.

This book would be useful for those people who wish to see if their ancestors still lived in the same area 11 years after the last census.  As the 1911 census is not to be available for another 7 years this would aid in the research.
